Director Shareholding Notification

The Company has today been informed by the Chairman Mr John David Abell, that of the 911,500 ordinary shares he holds in Jourdan, 565,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 16.62% of the issued share capital of the Company, are the subject of a pledge in favour of Lloyds Bank plc as security for an ongoing overdraft facility made available to Mr Abell.  The Company has been informed that this security interest was put in place in 1997. 

No other director of the Company has granted security over or entered into any financial instruments relating to any of their holdings of Ordinary Shares in the Company.
